I think the weekend was great and had a wonderful experience through it.

The only sad moment was to have my wallet stolen by a brother/sister AA member. I can appreciate and also forgive that they may require the $50 something more than myself and that they are a sick person (p67 of the Big Book).

Im struggling to let go of the resentment I feel towards the organisers about making an announcement on Saturday as promised but didnt!! and then were ok making announcements the next day about bicycles.

I was not going to say anything but it has come to my attention that money went missing on the Friday evening.

I think it is really poor form of the organisers not to announce it - even if my wallet wasnt returned, someone may have seen it being picked up. People should have been warned not to leave their valuables unattended.

Anyway, that aside I had a wonderful experience and grateful to the organisers for their efforts around organising the event not around making announcements!!

    i need the repetition.
it is good to hear the audio, and remind myself of what was said.

repetition reminds me that i can practice the program, and i can do it over and over.

i have known a few members who have died this year by their own hand. It has rocked me, and is profoundly sad.

we are dealing with a life threatening disease.

and the Steps are our common solution.

Mere words can’t express emotions, But I hope you understand the word “Uplifted” I love the humour in A.A. and the guest speaker who told of not realising she had twins until she was 4 years sober cracked me right up Ha!another one of those flukes that aint flukes happened while I was there also, hence I’ll be doing the “Almanac” one last time in the hope that I am carrying the message, and that A.A. gets a $ out of it too, Yep! a most enjoyable time. Thanks x

Thank u for the opportunity of allowing me 2 be of service at the AA Steps weekend.

I loved hearing Nancy M share in particular.
Hearing the American accent at meetings is a bonus.
And, I took the opportunity of talking with her afterwards.
It is great to hear such strong and positive sober woman share their experience. I hope to do that one day.

Unfortunately though, as a greeter volunteer I felt very foolish and uncomfortable wearing the silly clown hat that was required and I partly didn’t return for my greeting commitment because of this; I did try to contact the volunteer co-ordinator to no avail.

As a newly sober woman I have enough low self esteem issues at the present moment without adding to it and part of my healing is to express my feelings truthfully and without venom wherever possible.

I was however Fortunate that a friend spontaneosly ‘came to the rescue’ for a little while, thank u anon.
Maybe others felt the same, or maybe not; I would b interested to know???

Kind regards and congratulations for an overall inspiring weekend.

These steps weekends have the stamp of a thorough program as opposed to an AA Anniversary where the emphasis seems to be on sober longevity ,important though it is ,isnt as important to me as the years roll by anymore. A good appreciation of the Program is far more important to get well and achieve our primary purpose which is to serve God and help others .
I congratulate the caterers , management and volunteers who contributed so much .Good on you AA members.
Melbourne Steps Weekend is the real McCoy ,its about the AA Program and not mine or any other AATomDickor Harry.

Thankyou so much for the weekend. From a participants perspective it seemed to run so smoothly: to get that happening with a crowd of alcoholics tells me that a lot of hard work must have gone on behind the scenes. I appreciate your efforts. It was a very emotional weekend for me;I felt truly humbled and grateful to have found AA and to have been blessed with the insight and wisdom of the 12 steps. The guest speakers showed me the power of the steps and how amazing the recovering alcoholic is. God bless.

The weekend was amazing. I had never beent o one before and I felt like my whole world came together. Everythign that I did not understand about the steps became clear, and the biggest lesson i learnt from the weeknd was that all that glitters may not be gold but atleast there is a sparkle if you look hard enough.

Can not wait until next year!!!!

As an invited speaker to share on step 7, I absoutly enjoyed & had much fun in the whole of the weekend. I loved what the organizers are doing trying to get all the groups working in UNITY together to carry the message. We in NSW have also fantastic rallies & get-to-gethers but I learnt so much about getting the groups to all work in UNITY together. It was a great blessing to be a part of what the fellowship is all about. Seeing people that have recovered (the bottom part of our triangle) the fellowship in action & the service these guys are doing, covering the 3 sides of the triangle that we have been given.I will be back next year. Thanks Melbourne. Jetta

I have been going to rallies etc for a long time and this one was the absolute best ever!!!
Never have we seen a person fail…Wow, how prophetic! Never have I seen so many Big Books in one place at one time.

AA will survive the “resistance” and our future is safe after all, Thanks to ALL who were involved and Myers was a total inspiration to me, I am proud to stand in the trenches with him and all of you members who are willing to go to any length to carry THIS message and protect our right to the Primary Purpose of our fellowship. Well done!!!

Thank you for such an amazing weekend in so many ways. What a truely inspirationaly way to carry the message and present the program to one and all. I feel very blessed too, to have been apart of (dare I say it!) the last of the triangle workshops. To everyone who played their part thanks so much, this weekend has a very special place in my heart.

Great weekend. What a joy to have the opportunity to attend an AA weekend where the primary purpose of carring the message of recovery from alcoholism through the twelve steps has been so thoroughly the focus of the weekend. I already knew a lot about the program but I still learnt more that will be useful in my continued growth, and hopefully the growth of the people that I try to help. I hope that someone got some value from my contributions in the workshops.

Thankyou to the committee for the best AA weekend that it has been my privilige to attend. Hope to see you next year.

Reminicent of some lavish business conferences I used to attend at 5 star venues without the booze.
Even the smoking area was world class.
Very slick, great food all day and content goes without saying.
    You’ve set the bar high.
A few notches up on last year although I missed the Tape recorder around the neck!
Congatulations to all, back and front of house.
